TasTalk 2018

Tourism Tasmania in partnership with Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) will hold the inaugural TasTalk event in Tasmania this June.

TasTalk is set to be an exciting, all-inclusive conference held in Hobart, plus a statewide famil program, and combines the Tassie Specialist Conference and Tasbound into one, larger-scale event.

What is TasTalk?

In previous years, Tourism Tasmania held two annual trade events in the state, Tasbound, held in partnership with ATEC and attended by ATEC Member Buyers, and the Tassie Specialist Conference, for those selling domestic travel and have completed our online specialist program.

Tourism Tasmania has now combined the two events. Tourism Tasmania and ATEC will host ATEC Member Buyers on Day One and on Day Two Tourism Tasmania will host Tassie Specialists, enabling the Tasmanian tourism industry to meet with both groups.

The conference aims to provide further knowledge of Tasmania in order to better sell the destination and has been designed to introduce attendees to a range of Tasmanian product and experiences. The opportunity also provides the local Tasmanian tourism industry and attendees the opportunity to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones.

To attend TasTalk an Expression of Interest (EOI) is to be submitted by ATEC Member Buyers and Tassie Specialists. There will be a separate EOI process for each group.

TasTalk will be held on alternate years to Talkabout Tasmania Roadshow.
