TasTalk

Tourism Tasmania will hold its inaugural TasTalk trade event in 2018 in Tasmania.

The event is set to be an exciting, all-inclusive conference held in Hobart plus a statewide famil program and combines the Tassie Specialist Conference and Tasbound into one, larger-scale event.

What is TasTalk?

In previous years, Tourism Tasmania held two annual trade events in the state, Tasbound, attended by Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs), and the Tassie Specialist Conference, for those selling domestic travel and have completed our online specialist program.

In 2018 Tourism Tasmania will combine the two events, hosting ITO’s on day 1 and Tassie Specialists on day 2 and enabling the Tasmanian tourism industry to meet with both groups consecutively.

The conference aims to provide further knowledge of Tasmania in order to better sell the destination and has been designed to introduce attendees to a range of Tasmanian product and experiences. The opportunity also provides the local Tasmanian tourism industry and attendees the opportunity to develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones.

TasTalk will be held on alternate years to Talkabout Tasmania Roadshow with the next TasTalk taking place in mid 2018.

The program includes a full-day trade workshop with Tasmanian tourism operators and a chance to participate in one of five famil programs.
